Guild Ball on Kickstarter

Recently I came across a Kickstarter campaign, a project headed by Mat Hart and Rich Loxam and artwork and sculpts provided by Doug Telford and Russ Charles. What attracted me to this project was the simplicity of the gameplay and a fantastic attention to quality as you can see in the image below of the Fishermen Guild’s captain, Shark.

The kickstarter has already reached the funding required but with 3 weeks left there is potential to still snap up earl bird deals, professionally painted team bundles and some lucky people can even design their own character with the team.
You can access early releases of rules, constant updates of new sculpts and artwork by clicking here. Most of the information is already on the kickstarter site so I’ll let you take a look yourself, but here’s a teaser video too.

They already have my support.

New Warhammer 40k Flyer Images Leaked

40k Flyer Images Leaked on The Shell Case.

“A naughty person at GW HQ has snapped the pages of an up coming White Dwarf of the new 40k Flyers.

The Space Marine Stormtalon. Not sure about this one. Seems, for want of a better phrase, messy. Even more front heavy than the Stormraven, if that’s possible.

The Ork kit is way cool. And you get parts to make 3 different versions. Depending on how it’s built you may e able to magnetise the weapon systems and swap them out.

Again, Necron kit is pretty cool. Would have liked it a little more in lone with the Battlefleet Gothic Dirge Escort. Also not sure about the pilot. Feels a bit unnecessary and low tech.”

For me the Storm Talon doesn’t look great and as a Space Marine player I probably won’t be getting one. However the ork bommer looks awesome and I can’t wait to see some on the gaming table!

Necron Second Wave Picture Release

The internet has provided us with the ability of foresight once again by finding some leaked pictures of the new Necron models to be released.

In my opinion all of these new models look great, apart from the Tomb Blades which seem to look like the gun is too heavy and it’s dragging down the whole vehicle. My favourite model has to be the Canoptek Wraiths though, making a Necron army even more tempting…
